When I try to open a doc file in an email attachment I get an error message from adobe reader that the file can not be opened.
I can save the file and open it that way.
I just bought this computer a few weeks ago and I've never been able to open doe files
even after installing Microsoft Home and Student.
I can open excel files and pdf files.

a)      Which version of Internet explorer do you use?
b)      Did you make any changes to the system?

Method 1:
I would suggest you to check whether you are able to browse the websites in safe mode with networking.
Follow the steps mentioned below.

Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard.
Select safe mode with networking from the menu.
Method 2:
Configuration settings in Windows Internet Explorer may cause one or more of the following issues:
You experience performance problems in Internet Explorer.
You receive an error message in Internet Explorer.

Where are you getting the download?

There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.

Don't install download manager

Many sites suggest or require you to install an installer or a download manager before allowing you to download a program you may be interested in downloading. These tools almost always cause your computer more problems and may even have malware or other spyware. Avoid any site claiming anything must be installed first before you can continue with your download.

Avoid advertisements on download pages

To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Cancel or deny any automatic download

Using a macro I set the fill color of cells conditionally using the bright yellow color from the default tablet as follows...

My problem is now trying to use another macro to "clear the contents" of cells with this color.
I've tried all sorts of variations and nothing seems to work.
I tired color = 6, color = 27.
I tried "Cell.Interior.ColorIndex" as well using different
color codes and nothing clears the contents.
Here's what I thought should work...

Open Run command as previously described
Type MSConfig
Click on Boot tab
Tick Safe boot in Boot option
Select Network
Click Apply and OK
Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.

Can I run mastercam version 9 on my windows 7 pro operating system?

I currently have it installed but it seems to have many glitches with the graphics and crashes often. My Adobe reader also runs extremely slow and I wonder if it has anything to do with the Mastercam conflicting somewhere. I just upgraded to the windows
7 pro so if I run in XP mode, will it work better with the old version of Mastercam that I am using?

Any thoughts?

While checking in Microsoft Compatibility center we find only Mastercam X4 that is compatible with Windows 32 bit.

BSOD after copying large # of files from one drive to another

Hello.
I hope you can help as this problem is very frustrating.
Just built a new PC:
- Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7 mobo
- 8 gig Corsair Vengance 1866 mhz
- EVGA GTX 770 video
- Intel 4770K CPU
- two 1 Tb WD black hard drives as RAID 1
- one ADATA 256 Gb SSD as OS drive
- one 1 Tb Toshiba drive
- Windows 7 64 bit Professional
- Rev F3 bios

System can run fine for days but when I copy large number of files from one drive to another (i.e., 70,000 files, 80 Gb), shortly afterwards (10 - 30 mins) I get a bugcheck BSOD.

I ran MEMTEST86 for hours with no errors.
I can run PRIME95 with max heat with no errors.
ANd like I said it seems to be fine until I do a large file copy.
It doesn't seem to matter what drive I copy to/from.
Booting WIndows I don't see any CHKDISK activity.
Ideas?

all other Gigabyte bloatware, it's very problematic.

Start from 1 and work downward:

Ensure your temperatures are within standard and nothing's overheating.

Machine Throttling

Go to the Start button.
In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
Restart your system.

You may update the graphics card from the manufacturer website.
