Original title:  More problems with Internet Explorer 9 than can be mentioned
So I installed on my work PC so I can stay up on new technology.  Big mistake!  There is no clean way to back out.  Have tried everything.
-  Screen freezes on page
-  Typing on webmail freezes
-  The error occurring window
-  Scripting errors
-  Sent all problems to Microsoft
-  This sent from Firefox because it will work

Really frustrated with the issue and would appreciate assistance

Hey Rich Ullom,

Are you now using Internet Explorer 8?
Are the above problems occurring when using Internet Explorer 8?

(Assuming the answer to the two questions above is yes) Test your add-ons to see if any of them are causing these problems by:
·        Click Start
·        Click All Programs
·        Click Accessories
·        Click System Tools
·        Click Internet Explorer (No add-ons)
·        Click Tools
·        Click Manage Add-ons
·        Click Toolbars and Extensions
·        Under Show: click
All add-ons
·        Click any add-on
·        Press CTRL + A on your keyboard (this should select all add-ons)
·        Click Disable all
·        Click Close
·        Close Internet Explorer (No add-ons)
·        Open Internet Explorer

Now all add-ons are disabled in Internet Explorer, test to see if the same problem occurs without add-ons.
If the problem is fixed then the next step is to enable the add-ons one by one to find which is causing the problem.
·        Click Tools
·        Click Manage Add-ons
·        Click the first disabled add-on
·        Click Enable
·        Click Close
·        Surf a few pages
·        Close Internet Explorer
·        Open Internet Explorer

If Internet Explorer still opens/works correctly, the add-on you enabled is good to stay.
Repeat the enabling process for the next disabled add-on and continue this process until the problem returns.
Then the last enabled add-on will need to
be disabled/uninstalled/updated to avoid further problems.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.

Update and run your antivirus software. Windows doesn't come with antivirus software, but Action Center can often monitor the antivirus software that you or your computer manufacturer have installed.
