computer will not come out of sleep mode Help Please?

Hi,
 
I have a HPTX2-1300CTO notebook , Running Windows Ultimate 32Bit, I cannot give anymore information because my computer will not come out of sleep mode.
I have tried powering it off and taking out the battery several times to no avail, I have held the power
button to clear the power.
I have also tried putting Windows 7 into the dvd hoping it might boot up but all I get is a black screen and flashing led's for the hibernation mode, it is not reading the HD. When I push keys they don't do anything either, it doesn't
even beep at me.
 I have tried to find answers on here and other sites to no avail.
The computer will not do anything, do you think I lost my Hard Drive?

Are you able to see the BIOS screen?
 
 
Let’s change the boot sequence in BIOS
by giving boot from CD/DVD as the first priority and check if it works.
 
 
NOTE: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting
properly.
Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can resolved.
Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair corrupted or missing system files:

1. Click Start.
2. Type cmd, and then press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to open the elevated command prompt (I.e. Command prompt with administrative rights).
3. The User Account Control window should appear, be sure that the action it exhibits is correct, and then press the Continue button.
4. Type or copy paste the below command line into it without quotes:
