ChkDsk - Corrupted? Windows 7 Startup fail
I'm having severe issues with the ChkDsk /r command.
I schedule it to run and everything goes downhill...

That is my Kaspersky forum post because at first I thought it was a problem relating to Kaspersky, but now I'm just clueless.

"I was performing system maintenance recently, and scheduled a ChkDsk C:/r for next bootup, everything seems fine.
I wake up the next morning and start up to reveal the standard BIOS startup screen until the part where the ChkDsk is supposed to run, it reveals some lovely blocks of pixels ranging in many colors on the top left and right of the screen, I had to revert to
the last known good configuration via the F8 menu, went to the OS disk recovery console, tried bootrec fixmbr and fixboot, as well as a ChkDsk from there - everything seems fine.
Then I try to schedule a ChkDsk again, bad idea...
I spent an hour trying to fix the startup items and boot from a solid configuration, which failed.
I had to use a recovery image made recently.
The drive is healthy and clean, there isn't malware present, it's just Kaspersky blocking the ChkDsk from what I've noticed...
Immediately after the recovery, I opened Kaspersky to reveal...
Status: Suspicious (events: 1)

Any advice? I'd rather not try and uninstall Kaspersky but if need be I suppose I will later today.

I forgot to mention, every time I'd try to do chkdsk from the recovery console, it would always finish and display no bad sectors but output that it couldn't write something to a log file due to being in 'status 50' or something to that nature.

Boot in Safe Mode:
- Open Run command as previously described
- Type MSConfig
- Click on Boot tab
- Tick Safe boot in Boot option
- Select Network
- Click Apply and OK
- Reboot your system
Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
