Cannot complete system windows 7 backup

When the wizard ask for disk larger than 1 gig.
I put a blank dvd and it formats it and when trying to "work with media" it wants another blank dvd to forat.
This error loops indefinitely.

Could there be a compatibliy.
I can write files normally on the blank dvds ok.

To assist you better I would like to ask few questions about the issue,

May I know the exact size of the backup the wizard asks?
Are you trying to backup system repair disk?

I would suggest you to check disk size and the disk size requested by Backup and Restore Wizard.
If you are trying to burn using other burning software’s I would suggest you to check if you are able to complete the system backup using built-in Windows 7 burning utility provided.
Because, the file format wouldn’t be supported by the third party software you are trying to create the backup.

And check if Volume shadow copy and windows backup services are running and set to automatic in Services Console.
1.      Click on Start, type
Services in Start Search.
When the Services page is open, scroll the page to find
Volume Shadow Copy and Backup service.
2.      Right click on them and check if they are started.
3.      If the services are disabled, start the services and set it to Automatic and check if the issue gets resolved.

Explain the error that you received and the steps in the update process during which it was displayed. The technician will be able to walk through the steps from getting a new product key to finishing the installation.
