I am trying to have a column of numbers reference one cell to do an equation:

For example, in Row B, I have numbers descending as follows:
1.25
1.26

I am trying for each of these cells to multiply themselves to cell C2, with the answers appearing in Column D.

D1 = 1.25*C2
D2= 1.26*C2

Does anyone know how I can reference C2 to all these descending numbers, without having to manually enter the same equation in for each one?  When I apply the equation to the first number and try dragging down, it doesn't do so just for the cell referenced
-- but descending (C2, C3, C4, etc.).

Try =B1*$C$2  The $ symbols mean 'absolute reference' so $C$2 remains unchanged as you copy the formula.
