64 bit ram showing 2.7gb when 4gb installed

Hi .. I am using windows 7 ultimate and have installed 2x2gb ram total 4gb (previously 2xqb)  but it is only showing 2.7gb
the computer seems to be working faster ..
can anyone help ...
I have tried doing the config etc but no luck

I'm guessing your system has on board graphics, a Laptop?
Task Manager>Performance will have details
Performance Info & Tools will show further breakdowns
