Troubleshooter of Error: PC refuses to boot anything based on Windows 8 - OS, Installation disk, and repair disk!

PC refuses to boot anything based on Windows 8 - OS, Installation disk, and repair disk!

Hello everyone!

Once again I'm turning to the fantastic MS Answers community for more help.
My PC (custom build, Windows 8 Pro x64) decided it no longer wants to boot after downgrading my system's BIOS (it needed to be hard reset every time the system lost power, which
is no good).
In short, here's what happened and what I've done to try and fix the problem:

Hard reset the BIOS and set it up again - no change.Re-flash the BIOS with a DOS boot disk - no change.Revert settings to default (within BIOS) - no change.Attempt to boot to a Windows 8 Repair Disk - Windows logo displays for a minute or two, then a small message appears in the upper left corner.
The system reboots too quickly after the message shows to know what it says.Boot to a custom boot CD and run chkdsk /f /r on the OS drive - TONS of errors show up and the program claims they're all fixed after finishing.Attempt to boot from the OS drive - BIOS recognizes bootable drive but system reboots before Windows logo is visible (this is the same issue I had before attempting to troubleshoot the problem).Attempt to boot to Windows 8 Repair Disk - same error as last time.Attempt to boot to Windows 8 installation DVD - same error as Windows 8 Repair Disk.
As usual, I'm lost as to how to fix this, which is fairly embarrassing considering I work part time as a helpdesk technician.
Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

Hi,

I suppose that your bios has somehow become corrupted...

I know you had mentioned you were having a problem, and having to do a hard reset every time the machine lost power...
It just occurred to me to ask if you have tried replacing the battery on the motherboard that maintains the bios...

I'm also thinking that if the bios is corrupted that you may have to re-flash it either with the same version, or a newer one....

I'm not sure how that could suddenly be an issue on two machines though...
Unless it is a bios setting that was changed, or maybe they BOTH may need a new battery ?...
